Tripura Minister Sudhangshu Das Stresses Timely Budget Implementation at North Tripura Review Meeting

Agartala, December 22, 2025: A high-level district review meeting was convened on Monday morning at the Conference Hall of the District Magistrate’s office in Dharmanagar to assess the progress of development and welfare schemes in North Tripura. The meeting focused on three key departments Animal Resource Development, Fisheries, and Scheduled Caste Welfare and was chaired by Tripura Minister Sudhangshu Das.

Senior officials, including department directors and secretaries, participated in the session. Also in attendance were North Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Aparna Nath, Saha-Sabhadhipati Bhabatosh Das, District Magistrate Chandni Chandan, MLA Yadav Lal Debnath, block chairpersons, municipal and nagar panchayat leaders, and other administrative officers.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Minister Das stated, “This was the second-phase review meeting for the Animal Resource Development, Fisheries, and Scheduled Caste Welfare departments. We conducted a detailed assessment of the implementation status of the budget allocations and development projects sanctioned for the 2025–26 fiscal year.”

He further emphasized the importance of completing centrally sponsored schemes within stipulated timelines to ensure prompt delivery of benefits to the public.

According to administrative sources, the review meeting served as a comprehensive evaluation of the three departments’ performance in the current fiscal year. It also laid the groundwork for streamlining future action plans, with several key directives and decisions issued to enhance efficiency and impact.
