Agartala, December 26, 2025: The sudden demise of Tripura Legislative Assembly Speaker Biswabandhu Sen has left the state in deep mourning.

Expressing profound grief over the loss, Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha stated, “I am deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Speaker Biswabandhu Sen. His departure is an irreparable loss to the people of Tripura.”

In a heartfelt message, the Chief Minister extended sincere condolences to the bereaved family members and followers of the late Speaker. “I offer my heartfelt sympathies to his grieving family and well-wishers,” the statement read.

Prayers were also offered for the departed soul’s eternal peace. “I pray to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength to his family to endure this difficult time,” Dr Saha added.

Biswabandhu Sen was widely respected for his contributions to the state’s legislative processes and public service. His absence will be deeply felt across the political and social spectrum of Tripura.
