A late-night drinking session at a luxury apartment in Greater Noida turned deadly on Sunday, January 4, with a South Korean national losing his life and his live-in partner from Manipur being arrested on charges of murder.

The deceased has been identified as Duck Jee Yuh, a South Korean citizen and branch manager at a reputed mobile phone company.

He was rushed to GIMS Hospital with severe stab injuries but was declared brought dead by doctors. Hospital authorities immediately informed the police, prompting a swift investigation.

Police said the victim was admitted by his live-in partner, Lunjeana Pamai of Thangal, Manipur, who later allegedly confessed during interrogation to stabbing him. The couple had reportedly been living together for nearly two years.

According to investigators, the incident occurred following a heated argument while the two were consuming alcohol late at night.

Sources revealed that the verbal altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which Pamai allegedly stabbed Yuh in the chest, inflicting fatal injuries. “During the argument, in a fit of rage, the accused stabbed the deceased, leading to his death,” a police officer said.

Pamai reportedly rushed Yuh to the hospital in an attempt to save him, but he succumbed to his injuries before medical treatment could be administered. A case has been registered at Knowledge Park Police Station.

In an official statement, the police said a South Korean national was brought dead to GIMS Hospital on January 4, 2026, and preliminary investigations revealed that he was admitted by his live-in partner, who allegedly stabbed him with a knife. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway.

Investigators also stated that the relationship between the couple was strained, with frequent disputes allegedly linked to alcohol consumption.

Pamai has claimed that she did not intend to kill Yuh and that the stabbing occurred in the heat of the moment. Her statement is being verified as part of the ongoing probe.

The accused remains in police custody as authorities continue investigations to determine the exact sequence of events and further legal action.
