The Indian Army has launched a 15-day national integration tour for students of Mechuka Government Higher Secondary School from the remote Shi-Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh. The initiative aims to enhance students’ understanding of India’s culture, history, and institutions.

The tour, which commenced on Monday and will conclude on January 19, highlights the Army’s focus on youth empowerment and fostering emotional integration with the rest of the country, said defence spokesperson Lt Col Mahendra Rawat.

During the tour, students will visit Delhi, Pune, Mumbai, and Itanagar, exploring prominent landmarks such as Teen Murti Bhawan, Rashtrapati Bhawan, and the National War Memorial. They will also engage with leading educational and defence institutions to gain insights into India’s history, governance, higher education, public service, and opportunities within the armed forces.
