Agartala, January 9, 2026: Tripura Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag on Friday announced that the state government has placed police infrastructure and healthcare facilities high on its priority list, with modern vehicles and upgraded medical equipment set to be introduced in the coming months.
After reviewing police establishments, the DGP highlighted mobility as a key focus area for 2026. He said the government has sanctioned funds to ensure that every police station is equipped with new vehicles.
“Within the next few months, each police station will receive at least one new vehicle. Some have already been procured, while additional orders are underway. The process should be completed by March, April or May,” Anurag stated.
During his inspection, the DGP visited police lines and assessed amenities, including the hospital attached to the establishment. He assured that necessary arrangements will be made to upgrade medical facilities to provide better treatment.
“The hospital serves not only police personnel but also civilians. Improving facilities is crucial for the benefit of all,” he added.
The announcement underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening law enforcement infrastructure while simultaneously enhancing healthcare access for both police and the public.
