In Mizoram, the funds were allocated for key projects including the establishment of a fish farmer training centre at Lengpui, construction of a Mizo cultural heritage centre at Kawlri in Serchhip district aimed at preserving historical and natural heritage, and IT-based initiatives to strengthen state revenue through mineral exploitation monitoring and resource mapping.
Out of the total allocation, Rs 26.47 crore was released for regional universities, research institutions, specialised corporations, and cultural organisations to support region-wide programmes in the Northeast.
The NEC stated that the funding reflects its continued focus on promoting development in the Northeast through infrastructure creation, livelihood generation, cultural preservation, research, and innovation.
