Namchi, Jan 20: The state-level Golden Competitions 2026 comprising Golden Feet of Sikkim, Golden Beat of Sikkim, and Golden Voice of Sikkim successfully concluded with their grand finale at Jorethang Playground, held as part of the 71st Maghey Sankranti Mela.
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang attended the event as the Chief Guest, along with Cabinet Ministers, Members of the Legislative Assembly, the Political Advisor and Press Secretary to the Chief Minister, Advisors, Chairpersons, Heads of Departments, and other dignitaries.
The competitions featured dancers, bands, and singers from across Sikkim, providing a platform for young talents to showcase their creativity, skill, and passion.
In the Golden Feet of Sikkim dance competition, Dynamic Flickers Dance Academy secured first place, followed by Tapashree Gagan Dance Academy in second and Demazong Tribe Dance Academy in third.
In the Golden Beat of Sikkim band competition, Mana won first place, Roll Heads finished second, and Akhanda took third position.
In the Golden Voice of Sikkim singing competition, Subash Darjee emerged as the winner, while Sumi Hangma Subba and Sushila Bala Rai claimed the second and third positions respectively.
The programme concluded with the Chief Minister distributing prizes and certificates, marking a successful conclusion to the Golden Competitions 2026.
