In preparation for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations, the District Administration of Senapati on Wednesday organised a massive cleanliness drive across the Mini Secretariat Complex and several key public locations in the district headquarters.

The initiative aimed at improving hygiene and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the town.
Major areas covered during the drive included the Astro Turf ground, banking offices, the multi-level parking facility, and various public thoroughfares.
Heads of departments along with their staff actively participated in the drive, taking responsibility for cleaning their respective offices and the surrounding areas. The designated zones included office buildings, approach roads, entrance gates, waiting sheds, gardens, and other public spaces.
As part of the exercise, participants carried out sweeping, removal of overgrown bushes and weeds, collection of plastic waste and litter, and proper disposal of the accumulated garbage through municipal collection trucks.

The district administration stated that the cleanliness drive reflects its commitment to ensuring a clean, dignified, and welcoming environment for the national celebration, while also promoting a sense of civic responsibility among government employees and the general public.
