ICAMSE 2026 Inaugurated At Manipur Technical University

The inaugural function of the International Conference on Advances in Multidisciplinary Sciences and Engineering (ICAMSE 2026) was held at Manipur Technical University (MTU), Imphal. The three-day conference, scheduled from January 21 to 23, is being organised by the Department of Basic Sciences, MTU.

The event was graced by Prof. Madan Mohan Tripathi, Director General, NIELIT, Government of India, as Chief Guest, along with several eminent academicians, scientists, and international delegates. Prof. W. Chandbabu Singh, Vice-Chancellor of MTU, presided over the function.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Tripathi highlighted the significance of ICAMSE 2026 as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, stressing the role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, IoT, and cybersecurity in sustainable development. He encouraged researchers and students to align innovation with national development goals.

Prof. Chandbabu Singh outlined MTU’s vision for globally relevant, need-based education and research, announcing initiatives including international collaborations, new academic departments, a publication division, and the launch of a research journal. He noted that over 140 research papers have been submitted to the conference, reflecting growing interest in multidisciplinary research.

As part of the programme, a compilation of conference abstracts was released and a plenary talk was held. Faculty members, officials, staff, and students of MTU and NIELIT attended the inaugural session.
