Yanthungo Patton, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, participated in the 53rd General Conference of the Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) held at Old Changsü Village on Thursday. He highlighted the importance of culture preservation, skill development, and youth engagement in shaping the state’s future.
During the event, Patton also unveiled the LSU Monolith at Englan, marking a significant moment for the organisation. The conference brought together students from across different ranges and backgrounds, fostering dialogue, responsibility, and collective action.
With 91 units affiliated to the LSU, the union has played a key role in promoting leadership, cultural values, and unity among Lotha youth over the years.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by ADC Wokha Renbomo Ezung, ASP Wokha Biren Lotha, Lotha Hoho Chairman Mhondamo Ovung, and LSU President Lirhonthung Kithan. He commended the organisers, volunteers, and hosts for their efforts in making the event a success and wished the participants inspiration, mutual respect, and a strengthened sense of purpose.
