The Airport Advisory Committee (AAC) meeting was convened on Friday under the chairmanship of Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) and Chairman of the AAC.

The meeting was attended by key AAC members, including Deputy Commissioner (IW) M. Rajkumar Singh, IAS; Superintendent of Police (IW) Shivakanta Kh., IPS; Chairman and Managing Director of Babina Group Dr. Thangjam Dhabali Singh; and Dr. Thokchom Ibomcha representing the Business Excellence Group (Trade).

Representatives from CASO, BCAS, airline station managers, Heads of Departments of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), and other stakeholders were also present.

The Airport Director, who is also the Convenor of the AAC, presented the proceedings in detail.

The committee held extensive deliberations on issues related to overall airport development, enhancement of passenger facilitation and amenities, improvement of air connectivity, airport beautification, and measures to further strengthen safety and security.

The meeting concluded with several constructive recommendations and emphasized a coordinated approach among all concerned agencies for effective implementation of the decisions taken.
