Renowned music director and Shumang Leela singer Jeeten Kumar Naorem passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer at his residence in Taothong, Imphal West. He was widely respected for his immense contribution to Manipuri performing arts, particularly Shumang Leela.

Jeeten Kumar Naorem was a prominent artiste of the Peacemaker Artistes Association and remained closely associated with the group for over two decades. He earned widespread recognition for his powerful and emotive singing, which became a defining feature of many Shumang Leela performances.
