Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to more than 1,800 candidates as part of the Government of Assam’s ongoing transparent and merit-based recruitment drive.
The distribution included 1,694 candidates selected for various posts in the PWD, Transport, and Water Resources departments, and 185 contractual candidates under the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission.
With these appointments, the total number of government job placements in Assam has reached 1,58,373, highlighting the state government’s continued focus on creating meaningful employment opportunities for youth.
