Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday laid the foundation stone for a new railway flyover at Golma Chowk–Mission Chariali Road in Udalguri.

The flyover, estimated to cost ₹63.45 crore, is expected to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, and contribute to the district’s socio-economic development.

In a unique initiative to optimize public space, a badminton facility is also planned beneath the flyover structure.
