Thadou Inpi Manipur Extends Greetings On Zomi Namni 2026

The Thadou Inpi Manipur has extended its heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the Zomi community on the solemn occasion of Zomi Namni 2026.

In a statement issued on Friday, the organisation lauded the rich heritage and unity of the Zomi conglomerate, comprising seven recognised tribes—Paite, Vaiphei, Zou, Simte, Gangte, Sukte and Mate—which have collectively formed a strong and vibrant community.

The body acknowledged the unique place of the Zomi community in the diverse social fabric of Manipur and appreciated their continued commitment to preserving cultural identity and traditions.

Reaffirming its respect for the community, Thadou Inpi Manipur recognised the Zomi people’s persistent efforts towards fostering mutual respect and understanding among all communities in the state.

The organisation expressed hope that Zomi Namni would inspire renewed commitment to dignity, clarity of identity, peaceful coexistence, and shared progress for all communities.
