Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang on Saturday strongly criticised the actions of the Indian National Congress during the Global AI Summit being hosted in New Delhi, stating that such disruptions could affect the country’s global image at a time of international attention.

In a statement, Tamang said the summit reflects India’s rapid progress in innovation and technological development before the global community. He said attempts that create disruption during such an event risk undermining the nation’s credibility as it seeks to strengthen its position as a global technology leader.

The Chief Minister stated that while political opposition remains an important part of democracy, actions that cast a negative shadow on the country’s image at an international platform are neither responsible nor acceptable.

Emphasising the importance of national priorities, Tamang added that national interest should take precedence over partisan politics, particularly when the country’s development and achievements are being showcased globally.
