Agartala, February 21, 2026: The election process for the 2026 polls to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has moved into its initial phase with the Election Commissioner’s office in Agartala issuing the programme for revision and publication of electoral rolls.

According to the notified schedule, draft voter lists for all District Council constituencies will be placed in the public domain on February 27, 2026. Voters will be allowed to submit claims and objections regarding the rolls till March 6. These submissions will be scrutinised on March 10, following which the final electoral rolls will be published on March 13, 2026.

Officials said the District Council electoral rolls are being prepared using the State Assembly voter lists that were finalised on October 1, 2025, ensuring alignment and consistency between the two electoral databases. They added that the entire process is being carried out in strict conformity with the provisions of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council Rules, 1985.

With the announcement of the electoral roll schedule, the groundwork for the forthcoming TTAADC elections has been formally laid, marking an important step towards conducting a transparent and orderly electoral exercise in the tribal areas of Tripura.
