Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Wednesday extended warm greetings and heartfelt wishes to sportspersons across the state on the occasion of Player’s Day 2026.

In his message, the Chief Minister lauded players as the very essence of sports, stating that no game can truly come alive without their dedication, discipline, and indomitable spirit. He described athletes as the pride of the state and the soul of every sporting event.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the development of sports, Khemchand said that the occasion serves as a reminder to nurture, encourage, and empower sportspersons so that they may continue to excel and bring glory to Manipur as well as the nation.
