Arunachal Minister Dasanglu Pul Launches Child Rights Awareness Program

Itanagar, March 2: Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul launched a child rights awareness initiative on Monday, aiming to foster a safe, child-friendly environment across the state.

At a Civil Secretariat event here, Pul unveiled pamphlets simplifying key laws for children, parents, teachers, and the public. These cover the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (APSCPCR), Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, and POCSO Act.

Pul commended the APSCPCR for making the content accessible, helping children understand their rights to protection, dignity, and education. She called on the public to report violations via Child Helpline 1098, Police ERSS 112, Child Welfare Committee, District Child Protection Unit, Labour Officer, or the APSCPCR.”This initiative strengthens grassroots awareness for a safer Arunachal Pradesh,” the APSCPCR stated.

Chairperson Ratan Anya emphasized, “Awareness is the first step to prevention. Informed children, parents, and teachers empower society against abuse, exploitation, and discrimination.” The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to every child’s rights and well-being.
