Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand has extended warm greetings to the people of Manipur on the joyous occasion of Holi, locally known as Yaoshang, 2026.
In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister described Yaoshang as more than just a festival of colours, calling it a celebration of unity, harmony, and the State’s shared cultural heritage. He expressed hope that the sacred festival would usher in a new dawn of peace, stability, and inclusive progress across Manipur.
Invoking the blessings of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the Chief Minister prayed for good health, happiness, prosperity, and long life for every household. He also urged the people to reaffirm their collective responsibility to strengthen mutual trust, foster brotherhood, and work together towards building a peaceful and developed Manipur. He added that the colours of Yaoshang should dissolve differences and deepen the bonds that unite the people as one.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh also conveyed his greetings to the people of the State. He wished everyone happiness, harmony, and colourful celebrations during Yaoshang.
In his message, Biren Singh expressed hope that the spirit of friendship, harmony, and traditional festivity would fill hearts with happiness and unity. He called upon the people to celebrate the festival with love, respect, and the true spirit of togetherness.
