Stella Rica Khongsni, Leimapokpam Ghanapyari Devi And Tenzing Choden Sherpa Crowned 22nd Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2026

Guwahati, Mar 5: Stella Rica Khongsni from Meghalaya, Leimapokpam Ghanapyari Devi from Manipur, and Tenzing Choden Sherpa from Sikkim were jointly crowned winners of the 22nd Sunsilk Mega Miss North East 2026 at the Grand Finale held in Guwahati. The pageant awarded equal honours and responsibilities to all three titleholders.

The 22nd edition featured auditions across eight Northeastern states, conducted both on-ground and online, with participation from hundreds of contestants. Finalists underwent intensive grooming and mentorship before the finale, which assessed them on poise, confidence, intelligence, personality, and stage presence.

The pageant was conceptualised by fashion entrepreneur Abhijeet Singha and produced by Mega Entertainment, with marketing handled by Mega Activation. Speaking at the event, Singha said the winners “represent not just beauty, but strength of character and cultural pride” and expressed confidence in their potential on international platforms.

The titleholders will receive professional representation, grooming, brand endorsements, PR support, and national-level exposure, with opportunities for international pageant participation and global fashion assignments.

Special awards were also presented. Phurpa Drema from Arunachal Pradesh received the Incredible India Mega Miss Tourism 2026 title, Sarah Malsawmtlungi from Mizoram was awarded Nilkamal Miss Popular, Tenzing Choden Sherpa earned the Coca-Cola Miss Refreshing Beauty title, and Sanu Kumari from Assam received the Sunsilk Sway Icon award.

The Grand Finale highlighted regional diversity, fashion, and performance, reaffirming Sunsilk Mega Miss North East as a leading women-centric platform in the region.

With the crowning of Stella Rica Khongsni, Leimapokpam Ghanapyari Devi, and Tenzing Choden Sherpa, the 22nd edition marks a significant milestone for the pageant in promoting young women from the Northeast on national and international platforms.
