Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, met 13-year-old actor Mongseng Munglang, the lead performer in the Tai Khamti film The Little Monk (also titled Chausang On), along with his family on Saturday.
Munglang is a student of Arunachal Pali Vidyapith in Chongkham. The Deputy Chief Minister wished the young actor success in pursuing his interest in films.

A day earlier, Mein attended a screening of Chausang On during the 11th Arunachal Film Festival in Itanagar. The event was also attended by ministers Nyato Dukam and Gabriel D Wangsu, and MLA Chau Zingnu Namchoom.
The film is the first feature film in the Tai Khamti language from the state and has been produced by the National Film Development Corporation of India. It follows the journey of a young monk whose escape from a monastery leads to a spiritual path guided by an elderly nun.
The film is directed by Nang Tanvi Manpoong, marking her feature directorial debut after more than a decade of work in screenwriting and content creation.
