Lok Sabha MP and President of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), S. Supongmeren Jamir, has been nominated as a member of the India–Chile Parliamentary Friendship Group for the 18th Lok Sabha.

The group, led by MP Derek O’Brien, comprises 11 members and was constituted by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha on 23 February 2026 as part of the formation of Parliamentary Friendship Groups with over 60 countries.

The NPCC congratulated Jamir on his nomination, noting that it reflects the trust and confidence placed in him and his ongoing commitment to representing the interests of the people of Nagaland at both national and international levels.
