Itanagar, March 14: The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for parts of Arunachal Pradesh over the next 24 hours, as moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected across several districts.
The weather bulletin indicates rainfall intensity between 5 mm and 15 mm per hour, with gusty winds likely in affected areas. Authorities have warned that this could lead to waterlogging in low-lying regions and traffic disruptions in urban centers.
While no major damage to buildings, power lines, or communication networks is anticipated, officials have urged residents to remain vigilant. The State Disaster Management Authority advises monitoring local weather conditions, regulating traffic where necessary, and following safety guidelines during thunderstorms.
Motorists are advised to check traffic updates and avoid flood-prone areas. Similar weather conditions are expected to persist in some districts over the coming days.
