A 20-foot woodcut artwork titled “Fragments of Identity (An Indigenous Visual Narrative)” has been installed in the Chief Minister’s Office complex at Niti Vihar, presenting visual elements linked to indigenous traditions of Arunachal Pradesh. The artwork has been created by artist Jompi Ete.
According to Pema Khandu, the piece combines motifs, patterns, sacred animals, and cultural symbols associated with different indigenous communities of the state. The 20-foot installation has been placed in the corridor of the Chief Minister’s Office and depicts elements representing cultural diversity and heritage.
The Chief Minister stated that the artwork reflects indigenous traditions of Arunachal Pradesh through visual storytelling and creative woodcut techniques.
