Arunachal Government Transfers 27 Senior Police Officers In Major Reshuffle

Itanagar, March 16: The Arunachal Pradesh government has transferred and posted 27 senior police officers, including Indian Police Service (IPS) and Arunachal Pradesh Police Service (APPS) cadre members, in a major reshuffle.

The reassignments, issued by the Governor based on recommendations from the Police Establishment Board (PEB), are aimed at streamlining police administration and strengthening law and order across the state, according to a notification from the Home Department.

Key appointments include IPS officer Chinmoy Biswal as IGP (Security/Crime), Joy Tirkey as DIG HQ (Additional), and Delhi-cadre IPS officer Mangesh as DIG (TCL).

At the district level, Akshat Kausal has been posted as SP Tirap, replacing Aditya Singh, who is now SP Longding. Shivendu Bhushan is the new SP East Kameng (previously SP Crime), Sandhya Swamy is SP Kra Daadi, Pankaj Kumar as SP Dibang Valley, Swati Singh as SP Pakke Kesang, and Tasi Darang as SP Tawang, with D W Thungon moving to SP West Kameng.

Other notable postings include Achin Garg as SP Crime, Anjitha Chepyala as SP SIT/Cyber Crime, Dekio Gumja as SP Special Task Force (STF), and Sepraj Perme as SP SDRF/Home Guards/Civil Defence. Several officers have also been assigned as Commanding Officers of Indian Reserve Battalions (IRBn) and the Arunachal Armed Police Battalion (AAPBn) across the state.
