Agartala, March 18, 2026: Brigadier Nishant Chandel, Deputy Inspector General of the Assam Rifles, represented the Spear Corps at the Army–BSF Conference held on March 16 and 17, focusing on strengthening coordination between security forces.
During the high-level conference, senior officials from the Indian Army and the Border Security Force deliberated on key aspects of inter-agency cooperation. Discussions highlighted the need for enhanced synergy, improved intelligence-sharing mechanisms, and greater operational readiness in sensitive border areas.

Participants emphasized the importance of a robust communication architecture and seamless logistics support to ensure efficient coordination during joint operations. The conference also underscored the role of integrated strategies in tackling emerging security challenges.
