Agartala, March 21, 2026: The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission participated in the “National Exhibition-cum-Technical Event under Mission Sah-SANKALP” held at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi on March 18, 2026.
The event was organised by the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India and brought together senior officials from key central ministries and premier institutions to deliberate on leveraging science, technology, and innovation for strengthening sustainable livelihood systems across the country.
The programme was inaugurated by Principal Scientific Adviser Ajay Kumar Sood. Representatives from ministries and organisations including the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), CSIR, ICAR, and Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR), along with leading academic institutions, participated in the deliberations.
TRLM was represented by Sri Sandip Sinha, State Mission Manager (Non-Farm), who took part as a panelist and highlighted Tripura’s initiatives in promoting sustainable livelihoods. He also shared insights on the potential of technology-driven interventions in enhancing income-generating opportunities in rural areas.
The panel discussion focused on “Pathways for scaling innovations from pilots to nationwide programmes,” with emphasis on strengthening institutional frameworks, financing mechanisms, and implementation systems.
The event was held under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development as part of the Aajeevika – National Rural Livelihood Mission, aiming to foster collaboration and innovation in the rural development sector.
