Agartala, March 27, 2026: Ahead of the by-election to the 56th Dharmanagar Assembly Constituency scheduled for April 9, an all-party meeting was convened at the Dharmanagar Police Station on Friday morning to ensure a peaceful atmosphere during the electoral process.

The meeting was attended by Dharmanagar Sub-Divisional Police Officer Jayanta Karmakar, Officer-in-Charge Mina Debbarma, and representatives of various political parties.

The discussion focused on maintaining law and order in the constituency and preventing any untoward incidents in the run-up to the by-election. Police officials emphasized the importance of cooperation among all political parties to ensure that the election is conducted in a peaceful, fair, and orderly manner.

During the meeting, the administration issued a series of directives aimed at preserving normalcy and avoiding any disturbance before and during polling day. Representatives of the political parties assured their cooperation in maintaining harmony throughout the election period.
