Guwahati, Mar 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday acknowledged Assam’s development over the past decade and expressed confidence in the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) prospects in the upcoming Assembly elections.
In a post on X, PM Modi stated, “Assam’s progress in the last decade is for everyone to see… That is why, Assam is clear – it’s NDA all the way. People are all set for five more years of the double-engine NDA government.”
He also announced his participation in the ‘Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot Samvaad Assam’ initiative via a virtual rally on the NaMo App at 1 PM on March 30, inviting BJP workers and citizens to join.
The Assam BJP issued a statement urging party workers and residents to register on the NaMo App, highlighting PM Modi’s outreach ahead of the polls.
The Assam Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on April 9 for all 126 constituencies, with results scheduled for May 4. The BJP-led NDA, led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma from his Jalukbari constituency, faces a challenge from the Congress, which is seeking to return to power after two terms out of office.
