Soreng, March 30: The nomination process for the upcoming Soreng Nagar Panchayat Municipal Elections 2026 concluded on Monday, with one candidate submitting nomination papers on the final day.

Naren Subba of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) filed his nomination for Ward No. 02-Dara Bazar (Unreserved) at the office of the Municipal Returning Officer in Soreng. The nomination was received by Returning Officer Dhiraj Subedi.

The process was conducted in the presence of Election Observer Dushyant Pariyar, SCS, Secretary of the Panchayati Raj Department.

With this, the nomination phase for the municipal elections has formally closed.

As per the notified schedule, scrutiny of nomination papers will be carried out on April 1, 2026. The last date for withdrawal of candidature is April 4, 2026.

Polling for the Soreng Nagar Panchayat Municipal Elections 2026 is scheduled for April 24, 2026.
