Itanagar, Apr 1: A 30-year-old militant affiliated with National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isak-Muivah) surrendered before security forces in Arunachal Pradesh’s Changlang district on Monday, officials said.
Changlang Superintendent of Police Kirli Padu identified the individual as Jungron Chena, a resident of Manmao village in the district.
According to police, Chena surrendered before district police in the presence of senior officials and personnel of the Assam Rifles. During the surrender, he handed over a .32 mm pistol, one magazine, five rounds of .32 ammunition, and a mobile handset with a SIM card.
