Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Narendra Modi arrived in Dibrugarh on Tuesday night as part of his campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections in Assam, scheduled to be held in seven days.
He landed at around 9:00 pm and stayed overnight at a resort in the city.
According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will address two public rallies on Wednesday in support of BJP candidates. The first rally is set to take place at Gogamukh in Dhemaji district at 11:00 am.
He will then proceed to Behali in Biswanath district to address a second rally at 1:00 pm, focusing on voters in the Biswanath, Behali, and Gohpur constituencies.
After concluding his engagements, the Prime Minister is scheduled to return to New Delhi later in the day.
