Agartala, April 06, 2026: In the run-up to the Dharmanagar by-election, Tripura Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Sunday carried out a door-to-door campaign along with BJP candidate Jahar Chakraborty, reaching out to voters across key areas.

The campaign was conducted in booth numbers 35 and 51, where the leaders met residents and sought their support. Addressing the media later, Nath said the response from the public was overwhelmingly positive and reflected strong backing for the BJP.

Describing the experience, he said the interactions with voters were filled with warmth and encouragement, which, according to him, signaled growing confidence in the party and its candidate. He added that people’s trust and goodwill were clearly visible during the campaign, reinforcing the party’s belief in a favorable outcome.

The Minister attributed this support to the developmental initiatives undertaken by the Bharatiya Janata Partygovernment in Dharmanagar as well as across Tripura. He highlighted key welfare measures such as enhanced social pensions, free distribution of rice, housing schemes, improved road infrastructure, and access to drinking water.

Nath also remarked that Dharmanagar has witnessed significant transformation in recent years, especially in terms of infrastructure development. He reiterated that the BJP remains committed to prioritizing public welfare and development-oriented governance.

Referring to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Minister said both the central and state governments are working with the goal of inclusive growth, ensuring benefits reach every section of society.

He concluded by expressing confidence that the ongoing public support would translate into victory for the BJP in the upcoming by-election.
