Manipur CM Vows Strict Action Against Perpetrators Of Moirang Attack

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Tuesday visited Raj Medicity to assess the condition of a woman who was critically injured in a brutal attack at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai in Moirang.

The woman, currently undergoing treatment, lost her two children in the incident that occurred late last night.

The Chief Minister directed hospital authorities to provide her with the highest standard of medical care and assured all necessary support from the government.

Condemning the incident, the Chief Minister described the act as “barbaric” and termed it an outright assault on humanity. He said such violence is a direct attempt to derail the fragile peace in the state.

Issuing a strong warning, the Chief Minister asserted that those responsible will be identified, hunted down, and dealt with firmly under the law. He made it clear that acts of terror will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Reaffirming his government’s commitment, he stated that all necessary measures will be taken to protect citizens and ensure that peace, order, and stability in Manipur remain intact. He also urged the public to stay united and resolute against forces attempting to disrupt harmony.
