Mizoram Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar on Tuesday presided over the foundation stone laying ceremony for three major projects under the Sports & Youth Services and Tourism Departments at Thangtea Hall, Champhai Kahrawt. The total investment for the projects is ₹84.742 crore.

Minister Hmar announced that the opening of a District Tourism Office in Champhai has been approved. He also informed that the Tourist Lodge in Champhai will soon undergo renovation.

The three projects are:

1. Construction of Artificial Football Turf at New Champhai: ₹12.015 crore
2. Construction of Heritage and Cultural Centre: ₹33.8725 crore
3. Eco Resort Experience at Keilungliah : ₹38.8545 crore

The projects aim to boost tourism infrastructure and promote sports and cultural activities in the region.
