Agartala, April 27, 2026: In connection to the shooting case on March 23 last, the prime accused Ranabir Debnath was arrested on Monday from within the premises of the Bishalgarh Court after remaining absconding for a considerable period.

Locals said that the accused suddenly appeared inside the court complex in a semi-nude state and began staging a sit-in protest. His unusual and erratic behavior created immediate panic and confusion among litigants, court staff, and bystanders present at the scene.
