Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Leader Keisham Meghachandra Singh on Thursday visited the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, to assess the condition of those injured in the recent Litan incident in Ukhrul district and to extend support to the victims and their families.

He was accompanied by Congress leaders Woupam Rakhan, T. Loken Singh, Md. Wahidur Rahaman, N. Helendro Singh, and N. Bupenda Meitei. The delegation offered prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured and strength to their families during the difficult time.

Expressing concern over the incident, Meghachandra said the Government must take full responsibility, terming the continued silence on such a serious communal issue as deeply troubling. He stressed that inaction and silence in the face of violence only deepen fear and mistrust among the people, and called for immediate action, justice for the victims, and concrete measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents.
