Agartala, May 18, 2026: In a significant step towards expanding international investment ties, the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura, held strategic discussions with the Embassy of the Russian Federation ahead of the upcoming Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation across several key sectors, including tourism, information technology, agro-processing, oil and gas, bamboo industries, healthcare, education, and technology.
As part of the initiative to deepen bilateral engagement, the Government of Tripura has invited the Russian Federation to participate as the “Partner Country” at the Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026, scheduled to be held on July 9 and 10 next year.
Officials said the move reflects Tripura’s growing efforts to attract global investors and build international collaborations in emerging sectors with high growth potential.
The state government believes that such partnerships will help unlock new opportunities for industrial growth, innovation, employment generation, and trade expansion in the region.
With proactive policy initiatives and improving infrastructure, Tripura is steadily positioning itself as a dynamic investment destination in Northeast India, attracting attention from both domestic and international stakeholders.
