Itanagar, May 18: The ‘Tulang’ pure edible oil factory was formally inaugurated at the Industrial Estate, 2 Mile, Pasighat on 16th of May Minister of Information and Public Relation Nyato Dukam opened the facility in the presence of Pasighat East MLA Tapi Darang, Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, and Mebo MLA Oken Tayeng.
In his address, Dukam said turning a dream into reality requires persistence and consistency. Praising the pilot turned entrepreneur, Mohonto Pangin for bringing his vision to life, “Individuals like Pangin go beyond entrepreneurship. They inspire the youth of our state,” Dukam said.

He pointed out that setting up factories and industries strengthens the state’s economic base while opening up jobs for the unemployed. Highlighting East Siang’s potential, the Minister made a special pitch for tourism. “With our natural beauty, every citizen should extend warmth and hospitality to tourists. That approach will lift the district’s economy and protect the state’s image before visitors,” he noted.
Calling for collective effort, he concluded, “Let us stand united to build our state’s growth. I see this new beginning rising from East Siang district.”
The three East Siang MLAs jointly urged people to choose locally produced goods. “Our local products are organic and healthy. We appeal to all to go local and be vocal for local products,” they said. They also commended Pangin for locating the unit in the district, saying it would directly support local farmers in the coming years.
