Tripura MP Kriti Singh Debbarma Attends Parliamentary Panel Study Visit on Fertilisers

Agartala, May 26, 2026: Tripura’s Lok Sabha MP from East Tripura, Kriti Singh Debbarma, attended the Study Visit of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chemicals and Fertilisers for the year 2025–26, held from May 22 to 25.

Describing the visit as a significant platform for policy dialogue and review, the MP said the programme provided an important opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on matters related to the chemical and fertiliser sector, agricultural development, and effective implementation of government policies.

Kriti Singh Debbarma stated that such parliamentary interactions and field-level study visits play a crucial role in strengthening informed policymaking and collaborative governance. She noted that discussions during the visit focused on challenges and opportunities in the fertiliser and chemical sectors, which are directly linked to agricultural productivity and the welfare of farmers.

“Honoured to attend the Study Visit of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Chemicals & Fertilisers (2025–26) from 22nd–25th May 2026. The visit provided an important opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions on issues concerning the chemical and fertiliser sector, agricultural development, and policy implementation,” she said.

She further added that collaborative efforts between policymakers, experts, and stakeholders are essential for ensuring sustainable development and delivering benefits to the people.

The MP also emphasised the importance of continued parliamentary engagement in addressing developmental priorities and strengthening governance mechanisms across sectors.
