Itanagar, May 29: Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday held a meeting with members of the Arunachal Pradesh Women Welfare Society (APWWS) and lauded their work for the welfare and empowerment of women across the state.

Calling them “incredible women”, the Chief Minister said the society’s efforts reflected “real Seva Bhaav” and had brought positive change in Arunachal Pradesh over the years.

CM Khandu noted that APWWS has spent years working quietly at the grassroots level to advance women’s rights, provide support services, and promote empowerment. He described their contribution as truly remarkable.

“My compliments and best wishes to the entire APWWS team for their continued service and commitment to the people,” the Chief Minister said after the meeting.

The APWWS is one of the state’s oldest women’s organisations, active in legal aid, awareness campaigns, and social advocacy for women and children.
