Agartala, June 02, 2026: Motorcycle enthusiast and digital marketer Koushik Das from Agartala has earned a place in the India Book of Records for successfully completing a motorcycle expedition from Agartala to Tergola Pass, the highest motorable road in Bhutan, riding a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.

Sharing his journey, Koushik said his passion for long-distance motorcycling began around 2016. One of his earliest major rides was from Agartala to Tawang and Bumla Pass in Arunachal Pradesh, a trip that inspired him to explore more challenging routes across India and beyond.

“Since then, riding has become a passion that has taken me across different parts of India and neighboring countries. What inspires me to ride is the opportunity to explore new places, experience different cultures, and challenge myself physically and mentally on the road,” he said.

Apart from his latest achievement, Koushik successfully completed the prestigious Golden Quadrilateral ride in 2018, covering the four major metropolitan cities of India through the national highway network. He has also been a regular participant in the North East Riders Meet since 2016.

Koushik is a senior member of Intrepidus Leones Tripura Motorcycle Club, one of the state’s oldest motorcycle clubs, established in 2013. He credited the riding community for encouraging adventure touring and promoting safe riding practices.

Professionally, Koushik works as a digital marketer and runs his own agency, managing digital media, marketing campaigns and online projects.

Looking ahead, he said he plans to continue exploring challenging routes across India and neighboring countries while promoting responsible motorcycle touring and showcasing Tripura’s vibrant riding community on a larger platform.

His achievement has brought recognition not only to himself but also to Tripura’s growing community of motorcycle enthusiasts and adventure riders.
