Itanagar, June 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has nominated veteran leader Tai Tagak as its candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat from Arunachal Pradesh.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Thursday extended his congratulations, describing the nomination as a “fitting recognition of decades of unwavering commitment to the organisation and its ideals.”
The Chief Minister recalled Tagak’s role in building the party during its formative years in the state. “He stood firm during difficult times, when many hesitated to be associated with the BJP, and worked tirelessly at the grassroots to strengthen the party across the State,” Khandu said.
Describing the honour as a reflection of Tagak’s “loyalty, perseverance and dedication to the cause,” Khandu extended his best wishes for the new responsibility.
“I wish him every success in representing Arunachal Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha,” he added.
