Agartala, June 09, 2026: Tripura’s SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das on Monday called upon students to remain positive, disciplined and dedicated in their pursuit of success, stressing that academic results are only the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning and achievement.

Addressing students who recently cleared the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations, the Minister congratulated all successful candidates and encouraged them not to become discouraged by divisions or grades. He said that success should not be viewed as a destination but as a continuous process of growth and self-improvement.

“Success is not a final destination; it is a continuous journey. The results you have achieved today are only the first step toward greater accomplishments,” Das said while interacting with students.

The Minister noted that many students often lose confidence if they do not secure first division marks. He urged them to overcome such doubts and focus on their future goals. “Whether you have secured first division, second division or simply passed, what matters most is your determination, hard work and commitment,” he remarked.

Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Das quoted, “All the power is within you; you can do anything and everything,” and encouraged students to believe in their abilities. He described the formula for success as “Positivity, Honesty and Dedication,” urging young people to cultivate these qualities in their daily lives.

The Minister also shared the inspiring story of Arunima Sinha, the world’s first female amputee to scale Mount Everest, highlighting how determination can help overcome even the most difficult challenges.

Emphasising the importance of time management, Das reminded students that every individual receives the same 86,400 seconds each day and that the wise use of time is essential for achieving success.

He further advised students to stay away from harmful habits such as substance abuse and smoking, focus on character-building, and strive to become responsible citizens capable of contributing to society and the nation. “Education should not only make us knowledgeable but also help us become good human beings,” he said.

The Minister concluded by extending his best wishes to all students for their future academic and professional pursuits.
