Arunachal Pradesh: Pema Khandu dedicated 104-ft tall national flag at Tawang

Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday dedicated a 104-feet-tall national flag at Ngangpa Natme (Buddha Park) in Tawang to the patriotic people of the state.

Speaking at the ceremony on Thursday, Khandu said that the ‘monumental flag’ is a way of the state government to honour the patriotism of Arunachal Pradesh’s people towards the country.

The Chief Minister in his Twitter handle wrote “Proud to dedicate to patriotic people of Arunachal a 104ft national flag, which was hoisted today at Ngangpa Natme (Buddha Park) in Tawang.”

“At 10000ft, this monumental national flag overlooking the Tawang city is second highest in the country in terms of altitude”, he added.

For the flag, the Indian Army, local MLA Tsering Tashi, the Tawang administration and its people were congratulated by the Chief Minister.

The national flag overlooking the Tawang city is located at 10,000 feet above sea level. It is the second-highest in the entire country in terms of altitude after Lukung near Pangong Lake in Leh.
