The Arunachal Government has been striving to improve the economic condition of dairy farmers, through its flagship programme – Chief Minister’s White Revolution Scheme (CMWRS).

This ambitious programme intends to provide entrepreneurial opportunities to farmers through financial support & scientific rearing of dairy animals; thereby focusing to enhance milk production across the northeastern state, doubling the farmers’ income and boosting self-employment among the rural folks.

According to an official bulletin issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Arunachal, nearly 610 dairy beneficiaries were helped during 2019-20 under the CMWRS. They were assisted by providing dairy cows, feeds and other logistic support.

Meanwhile, during 2021-22, 120 dairy famers were given benefits under the scheme.

Taking to Twitter, the official account of CMO Arunachal wrote “Chief Minister’s White Revolution Scheme (CMWRS) is a flagship program that provides entrepreneurial opportunities to farmers through financial support & scientific rearing of dairy animals. The program aims to improve the economic condition of dairy farmers.”
