The Namchi District karate team made a remarkable impression at the 20th State Karate Championships, held at Palzor Stadium, Gangtok, earning an impressive haul of 46 medals, including 11 gold, 11 silver, and 24 bronze medals.
The gold medalists included Jolashi Gurung, Manvika Chetti, Tensung Bhutia, Jikmee Bhutia, Pragya Chetri, Manisha Rai, Keshar Kumari Chetri, Janson Ather Rai, Arnup Darjee, Rinzenla Bhutia, and Paden Tamang, who excelled in various categories.
Silver medalists included Pemakim Choden Bhutia, Adrien Rai, Kritika Timsina, Keshar Kumari, Pratik Timsina, Kumzang Dolma Samang, Upasana Rai, Dozang Bhutia, Aditya Rai, and Ledeya Subba, while bronze medalists included Jigmee Yeatsho Bhutia, Serya Manger, Jewel Rai, Dawden Sherpa, Ishmorna Subba, Sangay Yeshel Bhutia, Aditya Rai, Jenson Ather Rai, Kashish Kumari, and many others.
