Kohima, Oct 24: The Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) has made a fervent appeal to the Sumi community to shun anti-social activities that tarnish their reputation and disrupt peace within the Naga family.
In a statement, the DSC emphasized the need for introspection and collective effort to heal relationships within the community and with other Naga tribes. The council urged community, village, and clan leaders, intellectuals, churches, and individuals to work together towards promoting unity and reconciliation.
The DSC also called upon other Naga brothers to address grievances through official channels, resolving differences amicably and avoiding communalization and mob activities.
This appeal comes as a timely reminder of the importance of peace and harmony within the Naga community. By working together, the DSC aims to restore brotherhood and unity among the Nagas.
