Indian weightlifter Martina Devi Maibam clinched two silver medals and a bronze in the junior 87+kg category at the Asian Junior Weightlifting Championships in Doha, Qatar, on Wednesday.
The 18-year-old from Manipur lifted a total of 225kg (96kg snatch, 129kg clean and jerk), securing silver for her total and clean and jerk, and bronze for her snatch.
With Martina’s three medals, India concluded the junior competition with 12 medals: 8 silver and 4 bronze.
Medals were awarded separately for snatch, clean and jerk, and total lift in the championships.
